How to Choose a Challenge Coin Holder Size

Short answer: count the coins, decide where the display will live, and leave room for the story. Regular works for smaller wall displays, XL works for larger collections and retirement gifts, and Desktop works when the coins need to sit on office furniture.

Valor Board sizes

  • Regular Valor Board: 20" x 10.5", holds about 25 coins.
  • XL Valor Board: 33" x 17.25", holds about 75 coins.
  • Desktop Valor Board: 21.5" x 10.75", holds about 130 coins.

If this is a gift

For retirement, ceremony, department, military, police, firefighter, EMS, or first responder gifts, think about what needs to appear on the board: name, rank, dates, department, unit, badge, patch, logo, or motto. The design matters as much as the coin count.

If you have rough artwork

You do not need perfect files before ordering. Send a patch photo, screenshot, PDF, logo, badge, or rough idea. We will make a mockup before production and tell you if we need a better file.

Simple recommendation

  • Choose Regular for a focused gift or smaller collection.
  • Choose XL for a larger career collection, department gift, or retirement board with more coins.
  • Choose Desktop for desks, shelves, offices, and larger collections that should not hang on a wall.
