Most people do not start with a perfect plan for a challenge coin display. They usually start with a pile of coins, a gift deadline, or a sentence like, “I need something that actually does this collection justice.” That is enough to start.
Start with the coin count
Coin count is the first filter. Our Regular Valor Board is 20" x 10.5" and holds about 25 coins. The XL is 33" x 17.25" and holds about 75 coins. The Desktop is 21.5" x 10.75" and holds about 130 coins.
Coin sizes vary, so treat those as practical estimates. If the collection has oversized coins or medallions, text us a photo and we’ll tell you straight which size makes sense.
Think about where it will live
A wall board works well in an office, hallway, station, department, team room, or home. A desktop board works well on a desk, shelf, credenza, or office display where wall space is limited.
If it is a gift, leave room for the story
For retirements, promotions, ceremonies, birthdays, deployments, and memorials, the display is not just storage. It should carry the name, rank, dates, badge, unit, logo, or message that makes the gift personal.
Use the custom design process
You do not need clean artwork to start. Send a logo, badge, patch, screenshot, PDF, photo, or rough idea. We’ll build a mockup before production, and you can request changes before we make the board.
